Everyday USDT transfers: networks, addresses and fees

TERVO is a self-custody USDT wallet for everyday receiving and sending. View balances, select the active account and review the transfer quote in one app. A successful transfer depends on the correct network, address and receiving requirements.

Agree on the network first

TERVO supports USDT on TRON (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). Both parties must use the same supported network. A similar address format does not make networks interchangeable. Check the full address and the receiving service’s instructions before sending.

Choose the network. Share your address. Keep both sides on the same chain.

Receive, then send

To receive, select the account, asset and network and share its receiving address. To send, enter the destination and amount, check the network and quote, and confirm in the app. For an unfamiliar destination, consider a small test that meets the recipient’s minimum amount.

Compare the complete cost

Review the quote before confirming. Network fees, a wallet service fee and a receiving platform’s charges are different costs. TERVO shows available payment options; availability and prices can change. A service-fee promotion does not automatically remove network or third-party charges.

Find the transfer record

Open transaction history to review the network, amount and status. A pending transaction is not yet a completed payment. Use the transaction hash to check the matching network explorer when needed. A transfer to a platform can require additional confirmations and internal crediting.

Keep each wallet’s backup

Independent wallets need their own recovery phrase or private-key backup. Accounts derived from one phrase share its backup and security risks. Account names organise your view; they do not provide anonymity, move funds or separate the security of accounts sharing a phrase.

A practical payment workflow

  1. Select the sending account and check its USDT network. Ask the recipient which network they accept.
  2. Open Receive on the recipient’s wallet. Paste or scan its address and compare the full address.
  3. Enter the amount and compare the complete quote. A test transfer also has a cost.
  4. After confirming, save the transaction hash and ask the recipient to check actual receipt.

Payment details to agree on

Asset and network
USDT + the network both parties accept: TRON / Ethereum / BNB Smart Chain.
Full receiving address
Obtain from the recipient’s current receiving screen or valid payment order; verify the entire address after pasting.
Amount and fee responsibility
State the USDT amount to receive and who pays network, service and recipient charges.
Reference and completion condition
For example: personal transfer; agree whether blockchain confirmation or platform crediting completes it.

Fill in the actual details together. This is a checklist, not an address generated by TERVO or an invoice.

Worked example

A friend needs 50 USDT on TRON. If your funds are on Ethereum, choosing TRON in a receiving screen does not move those funds to TRON. First arrange matching-network funds or a separate supported conversion service, then compare the transfer quote.

Questions for this use case

Does switching networks move my USDT?

No. Network selection changes which chain you view or use. Cross-chain movement requires a separate supported service; do not send to a different network just because addresses look alike.

Can I reuse a receiving address?

For your own self-custody account, confirm the same account and network each time. For a platform or payment order, follow its current instructions; an old address or expired order may no longer be valid.
