WALLET NOTES / TERVO

USDT payments for freelancers: projects, accounts and records

When you and a client agree to payment in USDT, TERVO helps you share a receiving address, check incoming transactions and organise accounts by purpose. Keep project agreements and invoices separately; the wallet is not an invoicing or accounting service.

Agree on the network first

TERVO supports USDT on TRON (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). Both parties must use the same supported network. A similar address format does not make networks interchangeable. Check the full address and the receiving service’s instructions before sending.

Give the client complete payment instructions

Send the token name, network, complete address, agreed amount and project reference together. If you share a QR code, also provide the network in text. Agree on any exchange-rate basis and fee allocation before payment; the wallet does not set commercial terms.

Separate income and spending accounts

Name accounts for project income, daily spending or other purposes. Before sharing an address, verify the selected account and network. Several derived accounts can share one phrase, while separately imported wallets have independent backups. Names are local labels, not automatic project reconciliation.

Import independent wallets and organise their accounts. Keep a separate backup for each wallet.

Illustrative balances, addresses and fees. Check the live quote before sending; do not send funds to preview addresses.

Compare the complete cost

Review the quote before confirming. Network fees, a wallet service fee and a receiving platform’s charges are different costs. TERVO shows available payment options; availability and prices can change. A service-fee promotion does not automatically remove network or third-party charges.

Keep records alongside your project files

After receipt, match the amount and transaction hash to the client’s payment reference. Keep the date, network, contract and any conversion records for your own records and applicable reporting needs. A transaction hash alone does not identify a client or replace an invoice.

Keep each wallet’s backup

Independent wallets need their own recovery phrase or private-key backup. Accounts derived from one phrase share its backup and security risks. Account names organise your view; they do not provide anonymity, move funds or separate the security of accounts sharing a phrase.

A practical payment workflow

  1. Agree with the client on USDT, network, project reference and the amount to receive.
  2. Select the correct project account and share its current receiving details.
  3. Match the incoming amount and transaction hash to the project; do not rely only on a screenshot.
  4. Keep the contract, invoice and payment record together outside the wallet.

Payment details to agree on

Asset and network
USDT + the network both parties accept: TRON / Ethereum / BNB Smart Chain.
Full receiving address
Obtain from the recipient’s current receiving screen or valid payment order; verify the entire address after pasting.
Amount and fee responsibility
State the USDT amount to receive and who pays network, service and recipient charges.
Reference and completion condition
Project or invoice reference, payment milestone and who confirms completion.

Fill in the actual details together. This is a checklist, not an address generated by TERVO or an invoice.

Worked example

A design project is paid in two instalments of 200 USDT. Keep two payment references and match each hash to its milestone. A project account helps organise the view, but it does not automatically produce an invoice or identify the client.

Questions for this use case

Does every client need an independent wallet?

Not necessarily. Choose accounts or independent wallets based on your organisation and backup needs. Accounts from the same phrase share recovery and security risks; labels alone do not identify payments.

Is the wallet record an invoice?

No. The transaction record shows on-chain payment details. Keep the project agreement, invoice and your own reconciliation records separately. TERVO does not issue invoices or perform accounting.
